The November 2015 issue of AFAR Magazine brought Goldeneye to the forefront in a piece showing off the “cool factor” of the resort. Not only was it the home of Ian Fleming, who wrote more than ten James Bond novels, but it’s where Fleming came up with the character. Add to this Chris Blackwell purchasing the property and extending it to a resort villa. Blackwell, founder of Island Records, runs The Oracabessa Foundation and a portion of all profits from Goldeneye reservations are donated to the foundation, which supports youth programs on the island.
